Welcome at PLAYGROUNDS FOR THE WORLD

In cities across the world, where huge numbers of children are growing up in poverty, we are in danger of raising a generation schooled in despair. How can we give these children hope?

Playgrounds are one critical way to create an alternative to the bleakness that defines so many poor neighborhoods. In cities with high,long-term unemployment playgrounds can provide kids an oasis, a place of joy, growth and cooperation instead of hopelessness and isolation.

If we want to fight poverty in the long run, we need to strengthen children's rights. PLAYGROUNDS FOR THE WORLD is a social project that aims to bring playgrounds to some of the neediest urban neighborhoods. We hope everyone participating in the project will benefit from it, but above all - the children.
